Celebration of the Motorcar, Perth 2015
To all the people who helped out in different capacities in putting together Celebration of the Motorcar - a big THANK YOU, from myself and Wheels for Hope. In spite of a 35 degree day, we had a wonderful show – and as so many people commented, an amazing array of cars.
For a show report and photos, see the link http://celebration.org.au/wa-next-show/
Although I didn't have a car in this year's celebration of the motorcar I did have the privilege of helping set up. It meant an early start (after a late night) but it was worth it. I took the Tatra as my transport. When I left around 10.30 there was quite a crowd admiring it in the car park.

In the French section - a Facel Vega and Renault Alpine A310
Facel Vega - these Chrysler-engined French cars were more expensive than a Rolls-Royce in the 1960s.

VW powered Puma
Puma were a Brazilian sportscar manufacturer. The body is of fibreglass mounted over a VW chassis and engine. They were originally mounted over a DKW chassis and engine but when DKW-Vemag was purchased by Volkswagen in 1967, the supply of DKW engines and chassis came to an end. http://wj2d.100megsdns.com/home.html
