The Ariel Arrow was introduced in 1960 and quickly became a popular sportsbike. It wasn't long before people were tuning the engine to draw out event more speed from the bike. Below is a tuning pamphlet from AL Carter Engineering in the UK explaining the principles of two-stroke tuning. They could provide parts or could do the work on the customer's behalf. There is a still a strong racing community among Ariel owners to this day.
