Several years ago I attended the first Remembrance Day scooter run. The organizing club had expected maybe fifty or sixty people would attend, however, more than a hundred people came. It was a great event and so the South Side Scooter Club has run the event ever since.
Not an 'early Lambretta' but my East German IWL Troll. It always causes some confusion.
A very good turn out as always, with a wide variety of machines and styles on display.
A very rare Durkopp Diana on the left and an early Lambretta
A fine pair of 1950s machinery
Lambretta
The ubiquitous Vespa
Lambrettas with all the trimmings
Vespa and sidecar. The passenger in this case is a lovely Alsatian dog
View over the field
Lambretta LIs
Clancy's Fish Pub is both the start and end
Formalities done, the crowd prepares to depart
A fine Fremantle morning
After the run, Richard (Durkopp) and I stopped for coffee at the usual Freo hangout - B-Shed Cafe
Not a scooter - Ron's BSA Lightning Clubman
